I want to talk about the new and exciting bands emerging in hong kong and some of the great bands they were inspired by,focusing mainly on the post-punk era and taking some time to recognise other great artists such as the Arcade Fire and the Shins who are perfect examples of excellence in this musical genre.I also want to feature some bands outside of Hong Kong who use languages other than English (like Sigur Ros) or are purely instrumental like Explosions in the Sky as they show that you don't always need to record in English to reach a universal audience.I think that's relevant to local bands who either make bilingual records or record only in Cantonese like 22 Cats.
